Organizing a music festival with just the music we like… A nice thought, a nice dream, but not something that we, with our limited organisational skills, could get off the ground. What we’re quite capable of doing, is closing our eyes and thinking about it, fantasizing about it. Then we smell the grass, feel the sun and, above all, we hear the music floating towards us on the summer breeze. An imaginary music festival.

We asked a number of artists if they wanted to participate in the Roots ‘N Rock Imaginary Music Festival 2024, a celebration of live music. And indeed, our imaginary festival, against the wooded flanks of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, slowly took shape with entries from various artists.
