The Dutch singer-songwriter Michael J. Benjamin, who grew up in Sweden, is a young and new artist who writes and sings compelling, narrative and inspiring songs.

He mainly immersed himself in the work of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash and Joni Mitchell, among others. But more ‘contemporary heroes’ such as Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood and Jack Antonoff have also inspired him. In the literary field, he was influenced by Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud and Hugo, among others.
