Butch Walker released his album Butch Walker As… Glenn on August 26th. Listening to it for over a month now we were quite certain it’s a great album. But just to make sure, we fed it to one of our tamed reviewers, Bas. Here’s what he has to say:

“It should come as no surprise that Butch Walker knows a thing or two about songwriting and producing albums. With a career spanning over 35 years, mastering styles from glam metal to Americana and producing songs for dozens of Top-100 artists, Walker has time and time again proven himself a true craftsman.
On his latest release, we meet Butch Walker’s 1970’s alter-ego, presumably a West-Coast balladeer named Glenn. Think a smoky club, grand piano, sideburns, gold-rimmed glasses…
Lush vocals, a touch of pedal steel, the occasional guitar riff—Glenn could pass as the LA studio musician who got prematurely kicked out of The Eagles. Probably for being too good a songwriter.”

Check out the inspiring ‘the making of’- video Butch posted on Youtube, if you’re not convinced yet….
