Our editor Bas gave Jesse Roper’s upcoming album ‘Horizons’ a spin. Here’s his short review of the album:
“If one were to describe Jesse Roper’s new album ‘Horizons’, it would be along the lines of Southern rock, yet from north of the border; and sounds straight from Memphis, yet originating from Vancouver Island.
‘Horizons’ is a collection of twelve quite pleasant and surprising songs, with clear references to blues straight from the swamp and old-school steaming soul. But don’t rule out JJ Cale’s influences in the opening track ‘Another Day Down’.
We’re fans, eh..!”
Jesse Roper’s album ‘Horizons’ will be released on September 30.
